Return Policy on Video Game Controllers?

I bought some tools to attempt to repair one of my controllers that was being faulty and also bought a new controller just in case I couldn't repair it. I was able to repair it. Will I be able to return the new controller? It has not been opened. It's not that big of a deal if I can't. I can always use it for a backup in case I forget to charge the other.
